HATESPHERE To Play Japan In March
February 22, 2006Danish thrashers HATESPHERE have lined up two dates in Japan in early March. "This will be the first time for HATESPHERE in Japan and we are very excited finally to go there after having released 4+ albums in Japan," the band write in a statement. The details are as follows:
Mar. 03 - Hate Thrash Night @ Numabukuro Sanctuary - Tokyo, JPN
Mar. 05 - Independence-D Festival @ Shinkiba Studio Coast – Tokyo, JPN
As previously reported, HATESPHERE have been confirmed for this year's Roskilde Festival, set to take place June 29 – July 2 in Roskilde, Denmark. Also scheduled to appear are TOOL, OPETH and VOLBEAT, among others. More acts will be announced soon.
HATESPHERE's most recent album, "The Sickness Within", was released in Europe least September via Steamhammer/SPV. The follow-up to 2004's "Ballet of the Brute" was recorded in part at Jailhouse Studios with producer Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PRETTY MAIDS). Guitars and bass were recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark, with producer Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR). This dynamic duo was also responsible for the production on the band's last effort, "The Killing EP", which was released last January. Included on the album is a guest appearance by NEVERMORE guitarist Steve Smyth (ex-TESTAMENT) on the song "Marked by Darkness".
